No. This is a plain web page: your text is edited inside your browser, saved in your own browser's storage, and downloaded to your own disk. There is no server behind it — disconnect from the internet and editing still works.

Can it edit real HTML files?

Yes — open an .html file, edit the text directly like in a word processor, and save it back unchanged in structure. There's also a live rendered preview so you see the result as you type.
