How it works
Nothing uploaded. The scan reads file names, sizes and dates only — file contents are never opened.
Works offline. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet; scanning needs no network.
Best in Chrome or Edge. They support the deep folder picker. Other browsers fall back to a standard folder selector with the same results.
Honest limits. A browser can only see what you grant it — system-protected folders are out of reach, and OS-level tricks like sparse files or compression may not be reflected in reported sizes. To measure a whole drive, pick its top-level folder.
This page makes zero network requests after it loads. The scan reads file names, sizes and modification dates through your browser's local file APIs — file contents are never opened, and nothing is sent anywhere.
We use one first-party analytics tool (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand which pages and tools are useful. It never sees your files, form contents or search terms, and session recording is off. You can change your mind at any time.
